Due to space limitations on the small inter-island ferry we can only take about 25 teams (of four or five) and about 12 pairs. We prefer the majority of the teams to have five members (i.e. including a kayaker). Team transport is restricted to 5m in length for the same reason and pairs should have a smaller van or estate car.
Hebridean Challenge (Team of Five): Entry criteria:
- Size: Team of five.
- Mixed Sex: To win this category you must have at least one team member of the opposite sex. Same sex teams are welcomed and will be ranked but cannot win.
- Qualified Kayaker: All kayakers must have a 3* Sea Kayak Certificate from the BCU.
Hebridean Challenge (Pairs): Entry criteria:
- Size: Team of two.
- Qualified Kayaker: All kayakers must have a 3* Sea Kayak Certificate from the BCU.
- Experienced: Competitors must have previous similar race experience to gain a place e.g. Heb, LAMM, KIMM (OMM) etc.
Hebridean Trio Challenge (HTC): Entry criteria:
- Size: Team of three.
Teams of four or five should include at least one member of the opposite sex. Same sex teams are allowed and will be ranked but cannot win.
The Pairs Adventure will be tightly limited on numbers and so competitors will be closely vetted for experience and applicants should note that this is a serious undertaking. Competitors must have previous similar race experience to gain a place e.g. Heb, LAMM, KIMM (OMM) etc.
